Text: Gen. 1:1 – Gen 2:4

 

Day 1 – Light, Day and Night

Day 2 – Sky and Earth

Day 3 – Seperation of Water and Land, Plants

Day 4 – Sun, Moon and Stars

Day 5 – Sea Animals, Birds

Day 6 – Land animals, Man and Woman

Day 7 – God rests

 

God commands Adam and Eve to look after the Earth and animals

 

Activities:

Activity 1: Get to know each other, learn the order of the creation days

Print the following cards. Cut out with the Day and Creation on separate cards (Total of 14 cards) and throw into a hat.

Day 2

Sky and Earth

Day 3

Land and Seas, Plants

Day 4

Sun, Moon, Stars

Day 5

Fish, Birds

Day 6

Land animals, Humans

Day 7

God rests

 

Let every student/group draw a card from the hat. Each student needs to find the other student with their corresponding card. Example: The person with “Day 1” needs to find the person with “Light”. If there aren’t enough students for all the cards, let each student take more than 1 card.

Activity 2: Art

Print the cards above and cut out with Day and Creation on the same card (total of 7 cards), put into a hat.

Let every student/group draw a card from the hat and either:

1.   Draw what is on the card (you will need paper and pencils), or

2.  Enact what is on the card without words.

The other students/groups must guess which Day was picked by the original group

Activity 3: Discussion – Our task to look after the earth and animals

  1. Can you think of ways how we should look after the earth and animals?
  2. Name different types of pollution.
  3. What is recycling?
  4. Which materials do you recycle at home?
  5. What is global warming?
